- Greeting and Seating Guests:
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Escort guests to their assigned tables and provide menus.
- Ensure accurate table settings and cleanliness.
- Customer Service:
- Take and relay accurate food and drink orders to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Answer guest questions regarding the menu and make recommendations.
- Address customer concerns and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Order Coordination:
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely food and beverage delivery.
- Monitor table turnover and communicate with the host/hostess for seating availability.
- Upkeep and Presentation:
- Maintain a clean and organised front of house area, including tables, chairs, and decor.
- Ensure that condiments, utensils, and glassware are well-stocked.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down tables for service.
- Cash Handling and Payment Processing:
- Accurately process guest bills, accept payments, and provide change.
- Handle cash, credit cards, and electronic payment systems responsibly.
- Teamwork:
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to create a seamless dining experience.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to maintain efficient service.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to health and safety standards, including food safety and cleanliness.
- Follow restaurant policies and procedures regarding alcohol service and customer interactions.
