about the job
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in the preparation and finalisation of the company's consolidated financial statements on both a monthly and annual basis. This includes the preparation of all supporting schedules and consolidated journal entries. You will be responsible for reviewing inter-company transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance, as well as preparing detailed analysis of group financial and management reports. A key part of your role will be to work closely with the finance teams of our subsidiaries, ensuring the accuracy of their submitted financial data and gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Group's overall performance. Additionally, you will assist in the annual audit process, prepare the annual reports, and identify opportunities for process automation to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting. You will also be expected to undertake ad-hoc assignments as required, contributing to the continuous improvement of our financial operations.
Skills and experience required
- Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or relevant disciplines with professional qualifications
- Relevant years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a group or multinational environment.
- Strong proficiency in preparing consolidated financial statements and journal entries.
- Experience with inter-company transaction reviews and consolidation processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to prepare and review complex financial and management reports.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance.
- Ability to liaise effectively with finance teams across subsidiaries.
- Experience with audit processes and the preparation of annual reports.
