Your responsibility involves:
- Managing the Data Governance and IT governance team
- Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, integrity, and privacy across the organization.
- Establish and lead a cross-functional Data Governance Committee to oversee data governance initiatives and resolve data-related issues.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify critical data elements, define data ownership, and establish data classification and handling guidelines.
- Develop and maintain a data catalog and data dictionary to provide a clear understanding of data assets, their lineage, and usage.
- Implement data governance tools and technologies to automate data lineage, data quality monitoring, and data access controls.
- Collaborate with IT teams to define and enforce IT governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the effective and secure management of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to monitor compliance with data governance and IT governance policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to business units and IT teams on data governance and IT governance-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in data governance, IT governance, and data privacy regulations.
Skills and experience required
As a successful applicant, you will have at least 5 years of experience in data governance. You should have In-depth knowledge of data governance frameworks, principles, and best practices
Experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies, policies, and processes in a complex organizational environment. Proven track record in managing IT governance within the financial services / banking industry.
