About the job
As a Head of IT / IT Business Partner, In this role, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive strategies aimed at driving continuous process enhancement, ensuring sustained operational excellence, and nurturing business agility. You will take charge of the creation and management of IT budgets and planning within the South East Asia (SEA) region. Your expertise will be crucial as you evaluate the IT roadmap, working to formulate innovative IT strategies that align with directives from corporate headquarters. Your primary objectives will include minimizing overall IT expenditures and streamlining operations by eliminating redundancies.
Building strong and collaborative relationships with various business teams will be a key aspect of your role. You will facilitate effective communication channels to deeply understand their unique operational needs. Collecting input from the Voice of Customer (VoC), estimating costs for IT solutions, and skillfully crafting high-quality proposals. Additionally, you will conduct comparative pricing analyses against market competitors and adeptly negotiate project costs to optimize returns on IT investments, all while ensuring alignment with both business priorities and overarching IS strategy.
You will assume a leadership role in devising short to mid-term strategies and plans for regional IS applications, playing a pivotal role in driving the development of a comprehensive roadmap. Oversight of chargeback mechanisms for regional IS applications, including the clear communication of these charges and the thorough review and confirmation of Service Agreements, will fall within your purview. A robust review and approval process for regional IS initiatives will be under your guidance, requiring meticulous validation of timelines, resource allocations, and budgets during project pre-planning and planning phases.
About the manager/team
This is a sole contributor role reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager You will work closely with both Business and IT Senior Management, to support business strategies and adhere to global / regional IS directions. You will also be working with internal teams to understand the Regional IS Application Chargeback Mechanism and Regional IS Initiatives Review and Approval process governance.
Skills and experience required
- Minimum of 7 years’ of IT industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ of the head of IT department.
- Business knowledge (Sales & Marketing, Customer Service and Logistics) of multiple systems with enterprise application knowledge experience (i.e. but not limited to SAP S/4 Hana and Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Skills in project management methodology, effective leadership, and project management.
- Ability to travel when required in the future
