- Identify risks in conjunction with business management and 1st Line of Defence (1LoD)
- Advise and support 1LoD in the development, definition and implementation of Operational Risk Management across Asia
- Investigate risks and events, and perform assessments in conjunction with management
- Ensure that the 1LoD operates in accordance with internal policies and standards, such that the costs of risk and the capital reserve are under control
- Point of contact for the reporting of and for queries relating to Operational Risk events and issues
- Monitor progress in Risk Mitigation activities, create reports and provide feedback to Management
- Keep abreast of recent developments, both internal and external, and incorporate findings into policy and procedures
skills and experience required
- Minimum Degree in a relevant discipline
- At least 10 years’ relevant Operational Risk Management experience within the Banking and Financial Services industry, with prior supervisory experience
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to drive projects and initiatives
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
