about the role

• Oversee, lead and manage the Operations Unit which comprise of Trade Finance, Treasury, Deposit & Loans
• Develop and implement the unit’s plan to enhance workflow, processes and systems
• Manage the Unit’s expense budget
• Maintain strong stakeholder management locally and regionally
• Work closely with other Business Units include Front Office, Product and Compliance teams; provide recommendations to improve operational procedures and to develop transaction processing solutions
• Support the team in any discussion with auditors or regulators on complex operations topics, including but not limited to changes on transaction processes or workflows
• Keep abreast of best practices and provide input into local as well as regional operational processes
• Responsible for people management, development, performance appraisals and reward
• Coach and guide team on complex issues
• Look into Exception handling and incident reporting
• Develop and monitor departmental initiatives to drive process and system improvement
• Be a trusted advisor to the leadership team on topics relating to Trade Finance, Treasury, Deposit & Loans
• Report to management regularly on opportunities/risks and recommend appropriate actions

skills and experience required

• Minimum Degree
• At least 15 years of demonstrated Operations experience within Corporate Banking and in a leadership capacity
• Knowledge in Trade Finance Operations
• Familiarity with bank’s products and services, as well as local banking regulatory environment
• Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
• Strong coaching and leadership skills
