Currently, this well-recognised brand is in search for a dynamic Head of Sales to join their team to assist in setting and strategizing their growth within the regions.

about the job
In this role, you will be reporting to the Area Vice President and be responsible for all sales strategy efforts in Singapore and Malaysia mainly focusing on Light Industry (such as Universities, Shopping Malls, Food and Beverage Processing etc.) to ensure the fruition of growth plans in the region. You will ensure the company’s strategy remains consistent with their philosophy and their growth in line with their targets. Some of the core duties of the role include:

  • Driving sales across Singapore and Malaysia to increase brand awareness and market share
  • Lead sales team for the region - Identifying and establishing sales strategy in order to achieve and exceed strategy and targets into Light Industry
  • Optimizing sales volume, prices, market share and margin for the related market.
  • Developing strong cross functional relationships and continuously interacting with multiple functional stakeholders, to coordinate all aspects of business development and sales.
  • Directing and applying effective market research to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Developing and implementing marketing and sales strategy and aligning products, systems and resources to ensure proper execution of strategy.

skills and experience required
To qualify for the role, you should have more than 10 years experience in the chemicals/water industry with strong experience in aspects of Sales. To be the dynamic individual our client is looking for to grow together with them, you will ideally possess:

  • A Technical degree (Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering etc.)
  • Team management experience will be ideal
  • Exposure to Light Industry/Chemicals/Water industry
  • Strong experience in market development, business development or sales
  • Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills and have a willingness to travel
