Reporting into the APAC Chief People Officer, you will manage a team of 3 – 4 direct reports across business partnering, learning & development, talent acquisition and HR shared services, supporting an employee count of ~350 across Singapore and Malaysia markets. In addition, your role will be focused in the areas of:
- Business Partnering: Act as a business partner and role model to ensure HR supports the company’s wellness and people-based goals, driving an active / collaborative culture and strong DNA; working closely with the Managing Director, General Manager and HODs
- Employee Engagement; manage employee engagement surveys, developing engagement activities and programmes including CSR, wellness and bonding initiatives
- Talent Management; partner closely with L&D to ensure consistent personal and professional development across employees of all levels, supporting effective career development and succession planning
- Industrial / Employee Relations; serve as an advisor to management team regarding employee grievance handling, internal awareness on corporate policies and guidelines
- HR Best Practices; maintain high service delivery standards across all functions of HR, engaging actively with the company’s global HR team to ensure Best Practices are shared across all markets
skills and experience required
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related disciplines
- 12 years’ experience within global companies; with 5 years in a HOD capacity
- Strong experience working within services industries; including and not limited to professional services, legal, consulting, media / advertising, retail and hospitality
- Proven track record in HR advisory to senior stakeholders across the areas of talent management, employee relations, employee experience and engagement, recruitment and selection
- Enjoys a collaborative environment and an aptitude for driving engagement, wellness and strong people culture
- Strong acumen in Singapore and Malaysia employment legislation
- Pro-active and task oriented, with strong written and verbal communication skill
- Ability to interact and communicate with employees across all levels
