about the company

The company is a financially-stable commodities-trading MNC and a powerhouse within Asia region. The Singapore office has about 40 headcount and this role is 80% human resources and 20% office administration.

about the job

This HR generalist role focuses on performance management (using new technology and tools to improve and streamline performance management), payroll (manual Excel processing) and recruitment. In addition, you will be responsible to maintain employee’s personnel record, and general administrative duties including documentation and filing of employees’ files. You should also be familiar with MOM regulations, manage foreign employees working pass matters, as well as be responsible for submission of government claims to relevant government authorities. For the admin duties in this role, you will assist to plan company activities such as team bonding, staff gathering, D&D etc, coordinate meetings and book meeting rooms, venues and conference call facilities and organize catering as required, coordinate and organize logistics for meetings and events, plus manage travel arrangement such as flight schedules, visas application, transportation and accommodation.

about the manager/team

There is another HR and Admin Executive in the team who focuses more on secretarial support and office administration. Both of you will be on peer level and report to the General Manager of the Singapore office.

skills & requirements

You should be tertiary educated with minimum 3 years of HR generalist experience. Working experience within a commodities-trading firm is crucial. As this role also requires frequent liaising with counterparts in China who may not be proficient in English, the ability to speak, read and write Chinese is a must.
