HR Manager

Up to $7500 X 13 months + VB

Our client is a well established upmarket consumer brand that needs no introduction. With their new expansion in the region and strong employer brand, they are looking to attract top talents to join them in building up their new centre of excellence in APAC. They are in the midst of bringing in more brands to add on to their product line and expanding their presence and businesses in Asia. Their businesses spread across direct consumer, distributorship as well as the travel retail space.

about the job

You will be a strategic partner to both the retail and corporate team to develop the people’s agenda for growing, retaining and engaging the talents across the various business functions. You will be optimizing and scaling day-to-day HR Ops and be a trusted and credible HR partner to the SG team. Employee engagement with the local retail sales front will also be part of your scope to stay close to the operation ground to understand and identify needs and gaps for improvements. Your scope will also include but not limiting to:

  • Partnering with stakeholders to simplify and optimize HR Processes
  • Be a strategic partner to the business to drive and execute HR initiatives
  • Work with COE in Asia to develop and implement HR strategies for multi-brands under the holding group
  • Identifying training gaps and introduce effective training programs, tailoring to drive improvement within the retail floor to upskill their skill set
  • Be a point of contact of L&D matters and assessing effectiveness of training programs
  • Perform store visits to promote employee engagement between corporate and retail sales team
  • Perform streamlining and reviewing of HR processes to optimize workflow efficiency and productivity

about the manager/ team

Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you will work alongside a team of 4 with 2 HR specialist reporting in to you.

skills and experience required

You will be Degree qualified in HRM or related field of studies and demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in a MNC set-up. Relevant experience within the retail and/or consumer business is definitely an advantage that would put you in a league above the rest. You will be someone with excellent communication, good leadership and stakeholder management skills. You will also be someone who is versatile in handling people of all demographic backgrounds and corporate levels.
