- Design and implement network security solutions using industry-leading firewall technologies, mainly Palo Alto and other brands such as Checkpoint, Fortigate, and ASA.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand their network security requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
- Conduct network security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend necessary improvements.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain firewalls to ensure optimal performance and maximum security.
- Troubleshoot complex network security issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and mitigate security threats.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest network security trends, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on network security principles and technologies.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a network security engineer, with a focus on firewall deployment and management.
- Strong expertise in designing, deploying firewalls, specifically with Palo Alto and other brands such as Checkpoint, Fortigate, and ASA.
- Professional certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE certification), Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE), Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE), or Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security) are highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of cyber security technologies such as Firewall Management, SIEM, PAM, Content Security (WebGateway, EmailGateway), VA and Compliance scanning
- In-depth understanding of network security concepts, protocols, and technologies.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting complex network security issues and providing effective solutions.
- Familiarity with network infrastructure components, including routers, switches, and load balancers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
