My client is a rapidly expanding foreign bank in Singapore. They are hiring a permanent position of an Information Security Officer as an initiative to invest in Technology and as an integral part of their expansion plans.

about the job

Working closely with the Head of IT and reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with local/regional management to ensure all security related controls and measures are implemented, managed, controlled and reported
• Securing IT Systems by managing information security initiatives
• Managing and maintaining key relationships with local country, group counterparts and IT to advance cybersecurity objectives with critical focus on identification and protection of critical assets
• Driving capability and innovation for existing and new security business topics for the respective area of responsibility
• Identifying applicability of security business needs within the region, especially with regards to trends and risks
• Identification & assessment of local regulatory & other compliance requirements related to Information/ Cyber security & timely communication to Group ISO office
• Working with internal units to conduct regular reviews and audit of IT systems and applications to ensure statutory compliance
• Designing a mitigation plan for all the vulnerabilities found in the IT systems and build a layered approach for Network, Operating systems, Application and Database.
• Engaging with vendors to evaluate new technologies and carry out POC

skills and experience required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
• Master’s degree in Business Administration will be greatly advantageous
• At least 5 years of experience in a leading position related to Information Security
• Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CISSP, ISO27001
• Proven track record of vendor management is necessary
• Candidates from FSI background will have added advantage
