about the job

This contractual Inside Sales Specialist will focus on prospecting, qualifying and support business within the region. In order to deliver on revenue expectations, the Specialist will proactively make outbound calls, assist in generating quotes, follow up on assigned leads/opportunities, schedule customer visits, attend conferences, as well as assist
with incoming email and phone inquiries.

Other accountabilities of the role would require one to:

  • Deliver on revenue expectations for catalogue sales
  • Qualify leads and make decisions on discount strategy for opportunities
  • Follow up with customers after quoting to determine outcome and close business (for non-LVO opportunities)
  • Maintain communication with internal stakeholders (Customer Service,
  • Technical Support, Supply Chain…) for LVOs and issue resolution
  • Develop and grow relationships with assigned accounts
  • Schedule customer visits and conference attendance
  • Develop and implement a proactive strategy for prospecting new business including customer outreach via qualified leads generated from marketing campaigns/efforts
  • Utilize CRM to manage an opportunity pipeline

This will also involve building remote relationships with key users at priority accounts in assigned territories and nurturing large opportunities through a pipeline.

about the manager/team

You will be supporting the Singapore Country Manager in an end to end sales support role likewise be in an organization that prides transparent working styles and work life balance. You will also be part of a high performing team with robust information sharing from business leaders in the team

skills and experience required

  • Bachelors degree in biology, science business or equivalent
  • At least 2 years’ working experience in a customer-facing role
  • Exposure to life science reagent sales, antibodies would be highly advantageous
  • Possess an outgoing personality and comfortable working with stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools & in CRM systems
  • Positive, organized and a self-starter
  • Able to front business amid Country Manager's absence and make sound business decisions
  • Able to travel (10%)
