About the role
Reporting to the head of finance, you will be responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of the Group’s internal controls systems and procedures. You will improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance. You will execute a systematic, disciplined approach to examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group’s internal controls and procedures. You will drive the business to ensure effective financial and operational internal controls are in place and operating effectively. You will also ensure that all entities are in compliance with the group internal controls guidelines. You will review the audit reports with key stakeholders to come up with feasible action plans to enhance the processes. You will drive internal control remediation efforts within the region to ensure that operations are effective and efficient. You will partner closely with the business to identify risk and ensure proper controls are in place to mitigate the risk. You will facilitate knowledge sharing across the region on common control issues and design training to enhance CSA (control self assessment). You will also report to management on status updates of the control environment and action plans. You will lead any ad-hoc projects as assigned.
skills and experience required
You should ideally possess an accounting or finance degree from a reputable university with at least 10 years of experience in audit or internal controls. You possess strong business partnering and communication skills. You are able to influence your stakeholders and drive change management. Prior experience working in an MNC industrial setup will come as a strong advantage for this role.
