about the company
Our client is a MNC Commodities trading firm.

They are currently seeking an Investor Relations Manager to be based out of the Group headquarter in Singapore. This is an individual contributor role thus the incumbent will be leading all the marketing and communication efforts. This will be a technical and high-touch marketing, investor-facing position. Therefore, the candidate must possess excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

about the job

  • Prepare and coordinate the company’s quarterly and annual reports to investors and potential investors
  • Responsible for the firm’s website and printed marketing materials, and also coordinate the various memorandum summarizing opportunities and results for investors.
  • Coordinate investor meetings and events, including the creation and editing of presentations.
  • Create and manage a strong reputation by demonstrating consistent and clear communication between internal and external parties.
  • Interact with the investment community on behalf of the company and be proficient at communicating the company’s vision and story.
  • Coordinating mailings and compliance filings; and interfacing with analyst and investors’ representatives on day-to-day inquiries.
  • Project manages a cross-functional workstream to distil, refine and report ESG-related information to our investor base and wider stakeholders.
  • Conduct ongoing benchmarking and analysis of peers and industry trends to inform best-in-class IR programs as the company grows.
  • Work with legal counsel to ensure compliance on regulatory matters and ensure that information disseminated externally complies with applicable SGX rules and regulations
  • Develop and maintain the company website to be up-to-date and compliant to SGX requirements.

skills and experience required

  • Minimally 6-8 years of relevant experience within the commodity trading industry
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills and proven ability to interact with external and internal stakeholders effectively and credibly
  • Strong executive presence and significant experience working with and influencing the senior stakeholders
  • Successful track record of interfacing with the investment community
  • Intimately familiar with financial modelling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors
