Our client is a prestigious Investment Bank in the financial industry.

This is a new role. They are looking for an experienced IT Analyst to join their talented team.

  • The receipt of incoming service requests through various communication channels.
  • The prioritization of support calls based upon business impact.
  • The resolution of support calls either via the telephone using remote tools or on-site desktop visit to anacceptable standard and within a suitable timeframe.
  • Provide technical support for back office, technology and trading floor applications not limited to vendorapplications and other in-house range of applications
  • Setting realistic expectations for service delivery, communicating frequently with customers and providingtechnical expertise as required.
  • Offer 1 st and 2 nd level support for in depth fault analysis and escalation, resulting in direct technical dialogwith internal application developers, Engineering

This is a 1 year Direct contract with the bank, with possibilities of conversion.

You will be working in shift (supporting traders), but no night shift.

skills and experience required
To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma/Degree in IT or related discipline
  • Min 5 years in End User Computing experience, Banking or Financial institutions background preferred
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 migration and Office 365 is essential
  • Comfortable to work a flexible 8 hour work day scheduled between a rotational 7am and 6pm shift
  • Strong knowledge of windows administration, computer hardware, including laptops, desktops,mobility devices and enterprise desktop applications
  • Good knowledge on Desktop build process and technologies
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and topology
  • Knowledge of virtualization and VPN technologies, especially Citrix
  • Experience in both end user compute and voice support, including Cisco Call Manager, IPC tradingturret and NICE voice recording would be advantageous
  • Working in financial environment with trade floor support experience is preferred
