My client is a global expanding market leader in the creative lifestyle/hospitality industry. With investments in Technology and digital transformation, they are hiring a newly created position of an IT Operations Director. In addition to bolstering internal core capabilities, it is equally vital to elevate the customer journey. Within this trajectory of digital transformation, these improvements may involve the implementation of loyalty programme, digital wallet, mobile applications, POS 2.0 and mobile kiosks.
about the job
Reporting to the CEO, your role involves:
- Identifying and championing digital transformative technology initiatives, IT architecture and strategy development that streamline operations and enhance customer experiences.
- Overseeing the enhancement of IT infrastructure locally and internationally (e.g. network) ensuring scalability, security to support the organization's growth across various locations and markets.
- Leading the technology team by fostering a culture of innovation, encouraging out-of-the-box thinking to deliver cutting-edge solutions.
- Collaborating closely with other departments for strategic initiatives, implementing solutions that drive data-driven decision-making, and aligning tech strategy with roadmaps.
- Mitigating technology-related risks by implementing robust cybersecurity measures, disaster recovery plans, and compliance strategies, safeguarding the company's reputation and data integrity.
- Cultivating relationships with strategic vendors and technology partners as well as overseeing IT resource allocation and performance metrics.
skills and experience required
As a successful candidate you should have:
- Comfortable with travel about once per month or once per 2 months.
- Experience in a regional/global capacity within the creative lifestyle/hospitality/F&B/retail/entertainment industry is desirable.
- Experience with end-to-end technology implementation (POS/ERP/CRM) and loyalty programmes (very advantageous)
- Company has migrated to Azure Cloud (servers are on-prem), experience with AWS Cloud is also good to have.
- Proven track record leading digital transformation initiatives and cross-unit team integration.
