As a IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects that involve both information technology and infrastructure and systems. They ensure that project objectives are met on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals. Develop detailed project plans and schedules.
Resource Management: Identify, acquire and manage project resources, including staffing, equipment, and materials.
Project Execution: Manage day-to-day project activities, monitor progress, and adjust as necessary. Ensure all project activities adhere to quality standards and are completed on time and within budget.
Risk Management: Identify, assess and prioritize project risks, and develop risk management plans to mitigate those risks.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, including customers, partners, and team members. Communicate project status, issues, and resolutions to all stakeholders.
Budget and Financial Management: Develop and manage project budgets, track project costs and ensure projects are completed within financial constraints.
Infrastructure and Systems Implementation: Work with technical teams to implement infrastructure and systems solutions that meet project requirements. Ensure all solutions are installed, configured, and tested to meet performance, security, and reliability standards.
IT Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of IT projects, ensuring that project objectives are met and that all project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
Project Closure: Ensure all project activities are completed, documentation is up-to-date and project deliverables are handed over to stakeholders. Conduct post-project review to identify lessons learned.
skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology with at least 5 years working experience in large scale security or ICT project implementation and experience in programme management capacity.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and systems technologies, including network, server, storage, and security solutions.
- Certification in PMI or PMP or CITPM will be an added advantage
