about the company

My client is a globally diversified financial services company that invests, owns, manages and builds high growth, innovative lending and asset servicing businesses. With expansion plans, they are looking to hire a passionate IT Support Engineer to drive technologies in the workplace, supporting regional growth initiatives.

Reporting to the Group of Information Management, this is an individual contributor position where you are expected to work with both internal stakeholders & external vendors across all levels of senority.

  • Provide ICT end-user support through a variety of channels including telephone, remote desktop and face-to-face
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults
  • Identify and replace parts as required either working directly or via a 3rd party.
  • Respond and/ or coordinate responses to incidents and requests tickets raised within the service desk within agreed time limits
  • Microsoft Office 365 subscription administration
  • Active Directory Administration (User/Group creation and password resets)
  • Microsoft Azure administration
  • Provide support in assisting with key events requiring technology (e.g. Town Halls)
  • Provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports
  • Support the roll-out of new applications
  • Test and evaluate new technology

skills and experience required

  • Minimally Diploma / Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimally 5 years of relevant work experience in a corporate IT environment.
  • Experience / Background in Financial Services in a huge plus.
  • Strong communication skills - ability to liaise with different business units / counterparts
  • Strong team collaboration and worked previously within remote teams.
  • Independent and able to manage and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to handle high pressure and fast paced situations.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage many open cases at one time
  • Ability to driving high-quality work products within expected timeframes
