In conjunction, they have engaged us as a sole partner in search for an experienced Lab Manager to be based in their Singapore plant

about the job

  • Lead quality control laboratory personnel and activities to ensure continuous availability of quality control services.

  • Plan the resourcing and development of laboratory personnel to support our strategy and wellbeing.

  • Ensure laboratory and site compliance with international quality standards, authority requirements and ISO 9000 quality management system requirements.

  • Be accountable for laboratory costs and steer the balance between the use of external laboratory services and insourcing of analyzing methods.

  • Be in charge of new laboratory facilities planning, resourcing, commissioning and start-up in Singapore expansion projects

  • Work closely with operations, supply and sales to provide them with the required services. You will also be part of the Global lab network to share best practices and drive for continuous improvement.

You will report to senior leaders in the business that prides work life balance and transparent working culture.

In this team based and collaborative environment, you will work closely with various internal stakeholders in Singapore and other sites including suppliers, commercial labs to ensure safe & reliable operations.

skills and experience required

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience within oil products or petrochemicals quality control activities

  • BSc./MSc. in a relevant field and understanding of quality control processes

  • Knowledge and experience on analytical testing methods for oil and gas products

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial position

  • Ability to learn, develop and grow yourself and passion to support others to develop

  • Co-operation and influencing skills enabling successful working with multiple stakeholders at different levels in the organization

  • Experience on laboratory information management system (LIMS)

  • Experience working with local external analytical service providers

  • Experience of oil based waste and residue analytics

  • Experience in working within an international organization
