They have engaged us as a sole partner in search for experienced lab technicians to be based in their Singapore plant.

about the job

At the peak of their business facing exponential growth in the next few years, it is the best time to be part of this highly driven organization. This enticing position would entail one to:

  • Perform chemical testing of sample accurately in accordance to specified methods in timely manner and results are released with minimum delay
  • Prepare chemical stock standard solution and reagents
  • Familiar with lab environments, safety protocols and various lab equipment’s
  • To perform the lab activities in accordance to company HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain complete and accurate recordings of test results
  • Advise on the significance of test results and follow up with appropriate course of actions
  • Be accountable for assigned analytical methods and instruments
  • Ensure products are ready for testing at all times, which includes maintaining reference standards, calibrations, maintenance, spare parts, etc.
  • Review lab results which include calibration and performance check results
  • Maintain all labs document / data recordings and ensure it is compliant with quality standards
  • To upkeep the cleanliness of work areas, apparatus and equipment
  • Arrange the collection of lab waste and perform E-tracking for lab waste collected.
  • Create and update instructions, procedures and reports
  • Participate in risk management team to conduct/review risk assessments for new/old tasks
  • Involved in permit applications and issuance for task and activities carried out in the lab area
  • Register and facilitate in NCR report completions
  • Any other related job responsibilities assigned

about the manager/team

  • You will report to the Laboratory Supervisor that prides work life balance and transparent working culture. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring that sample analysis assigned are completed in an efficient manner and in conformance with company quality control policies.
  • In this team based and collaborative environment, you will work closely with various internal stakeholders in Singapore and other sites including suppliers to ensure safe & reliable operations.

skills and experience required

  • Willing to work in Tuas and in a shift based job (Allowance & Transport provided)
  • Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or related discipline
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in similar working environments - chemical, petrochemical or oil & gas industry will be an added advantage
  • Hands-on experience of laboratory instruments or equipment
  • Team player and open to work in cross-functional, multiple disciplines environment.
  • Possess a positive, accountable attitude and avid towards safety issues
