Founded in 1996, my client is a leading sports brand with regional offices spanning across APAC, Europe, North and Latin America.


The Lead Developer is responsible for working with the global Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) development team to develop enterprise-level eCommerce solutions. This role will focus on feature development and support of our APAC regional sites. He/ she will also take ownership in the operational stability and performance of our Commerce Cloud websites.

about the job

  • APAC Ecommerce System Support - Ensure stability and uptime of eCommerce storefront and all required services.
  • Building APAC Ecommerce feature development and documentation - Taking lead in development efforts for features that drive ecommerce revenue for sites within the APAC region.
  • Global Ecommerce Feature Development - Ensuring global strategies are casacaded into the APAC region.
  • Collaborate with the regional business leads to inform them of available Commerce Cloud capabilities cascading capabilities already enabled in other regions that can be extended to APAC which includes enhancing new features that localizes consumer experience.
  • Engage with Product Management and regional business partners as it relates to system capability, design and solutioning options, interpreting requirements to drive high level solutioning.
  • Influence requesting teams to adopt solutions that fit within the platform framework in order to reduce customization while still delivering desired customer experience
  • Lead technical solutioning of large efforts that have a major impact to eCommerce departmental goals, including efforts that cross over into other department such as supply chain, distribution and marketing.
  • Provide input and recommendations into project plans (creation and maintenance), timelines, and potential cost and as well as development documentation for all assigned projects.
  • For larger efforts, manage technical teams to ensure successful delivery of ecommerce features.

skills and experience required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technology or IT ideal; marketing, business, or art fields with equivalent considered.
  • 5-8 years in Web development, preferably in an ecommerce platform environment (Salesforce Commerce Cloud/Demandware, Hybris etc)
  • 3-6 years’ experience acting as a manager, team lead, project lead, or some other position of leadership and responsibility greater than individual performer is required
  • Strong collaborative skills including leadership; ability to set vision and strategy across a variety of functions, inspire and motivate cross functional partners and key stakeholders.
  • Ecommerce performance marketing and merchandising exposure with strong understanding of key levers and opportunities.
  • Proven business strategy, planning, analytical, complex problem -solving and negotiation skills.
  • One or more current Commerce Cloud certifications CCM101 - Manage and Merchandise a B2C Commerce Cloud Storefront & CCD102 - B2C Commerce Developer with SFRA is preferred.
  • Experience working as part of a global, distributed team is strongly preferred
