Our client is an established Wholesale Bank looking to recruit a legal counsel to join the Legal team.

about the job

Reporting to the Head of Legal, your role involves:

• Draft, negotiate and review transaction documentation in support of the Bank’s banking businesses
• Support in a variety of other agreements and contracts such as non-disclosure agreements, operational contracts, vendor contracts etc
• Provide timely and reliable legal advice to the business on legal risks arising from transactions
• Liaise with external legal firms where necessary
• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations and advise senior management on relevant legal issues
• Assist and support on any other projects

skills and experience required

• Singapore-qualified banking and finance lawyer with minimum 2 years PQE
• Familiarity with loan and security documentation is essential
• Strong written and spoken communication skills
• A team player with an inquiring mind, who is meticulous, resourceful, adaptable, able to provide feasible solutions and a self-starter with good interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
