about the job
This is an individual contributor position and you will be responsible to the following responsibilities:
- Review vendor shipment paperwork and request corrections if required
- Contact customers for forwarder information, provide collection details
- Send dispatch paperwork to customers advising them of shipment details
- Follow up with all vendors on order status
- Keep sales team updated on all shipments
- Arrange sea and air freight carriers to collect shipments based on ex-works terms
- Provide all necessary paperwork to Operations in order to receive shipments
- Update internal system with latest information
- Inform clearance agent in Singapore of cargo arrival(s) and provide all paperwork for clearance
- Produce paperwork (Invoice, Packing Lists) when required
- Send documents for attestation by SICC or SMA when required
- Review and approve charges from all freight vendors
- Develop relationships freight forwarders
- Understand customs requirements for countries within our territory
- Arrange insurance policies with brokers when required
- Receiving of shipments into internal system and invoicing to customer
- Scanning of paperwork into internal document retention system
