about the job
The position involves being designated to the Logistics department as a contractual employee, with responsibilities encompassing the coordination of orders, product returns/replacements, and product warranties primarily using the SAP tool. The role operates under the supervision of the Logistics manager.
Key responsibilities
- Processing order confirmations for customers, coordinating vendor orders, overseeing cargo readiness monitoring, collaborating with freight forwarders for shipment arrangements, executing customer deliveries, and issuing timely invoices as per company protocols and guidelines.
- Responding promptly to customer inquiries about order status, taking a proactive approach to inform responsible sales personnel of any delivery issues.
- Maintaining the system (SAP) documents in line with the policies outlined in the monthly logistics report, including essential figures like billing due lists, open purchases, and open job orders.
- Generating export-related and shipping documents in compliance with local regulations, export controls (if applicable), letters of credit, certificate of origin, etc.
- Establishing effective communication with suppliers to establish appropriate logistics procedures and obtain necessary documentation, while ensuring adherence to authorization guidelines.
- Ensuring compliance with authorization guidelines and standards.
skills & experience required

- A minimum requirement of a Diploma or its equivalent in Supply Chain or Logistics, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Applications.
- Previous exposure to SAP SD and/or MM module(s) is desirable.
