about the role

In this role, you will participate in various critical stages of mergers and acquisitions, including market research, financial analysis, due diligence, deal negotiations, and post-acquisition transition. You will learn to identify key business drivers, manage risks, and support development activities. You will come up with valuations and other financial models for the management team to make strategic acquisition decisions. Over time, you'll progress to lead discussions and workstreams.

skills and experience required

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, along with 5-8 years of experience in transaction services, strategic investments, M&A, and corporate development. Prior m&a experience in these industries (education, hotel management), or a Big 4 firm will come as a strong advantage for this role. You should possess strong financial modeling skills. You are proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, and have excellent communication and presentation abilities. You should be strong in valuation, negotiation, funding, and investment structuring. You are strong in project management and are able to work well with various stakeholders. A passion for finance, coupled with an interest in corporate and business development and corporate strategy, rounds out the profile sought for this position.
