As a Manager, Business Applications (Retail), your responsibilities involve:
- Supervising the functional activities of the Information Technology (IT) department, including strategizing regionally, delivering projects, and managing business applications
- Taking ownership of enterprise resource planning (ERP), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and in-house applications. Additionally, providing support for these applications.
- Leading the IT applications team, collaborating with team members from regional and local entities, as well as vendors, to drive and implement regional digital transformation initiatives.
- Emphasizing optimal teamwork within the project delivery team to ensure the best possible business application solutions.
- Managing the outsourced vendor responsible for Application Management Services (AMS) in the region. This includes handling change management requests, logging and closing incident tickets, monitoring Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Monitoring the progress of issue resolution, handling escalations, providing regular performance updates, and conducting periodic evaluations of the vendor to ensure optimal support for the business.
- Developing and overseeing the regional project, expense, and capital budgets, aligning them with the regional and global IT strategy.
- Inspiring and motivating team members to achieve set objectives, fostering positive engagement, and facilitating their growth and development within the department.
Skills and Experience Required
As a successful candidate, you should have at least 6 years of working experience in an IT Leadership role managing business applications with a strong focus within the retail industry/solutions.
You should have a strong experience in large scale, project management experience with a proven track record of end to end SAP project implementation in SAP Retail and POS integration.
