In this position as an Reinsurance Underwriting Manager, you will be reporting to the HOD of Underwriting and be expected to prepare annual treaty renewal data pack including review of treaty wordings and requirements by the company to achieve the business plan targets.
You will be expected to handle treaty special acceptance requests by Underwriters and Distribution and be involved in proper recording. You will update the treaty codes and set up in the company's application system on finalisation of the treaty renewals.
The ideal incumbent will be expected to work closely with the Claims department to communicate on claims notifications to Reinsurers including cash calls and reviewing of Quarterly Treaty Statement of Accounts done by Finance.
In order to be successful in this position, the incumbent is also expected to ensure all reinsurance contracts (inward and outward) are properly documented to meet the Contract Certainty requirement and to submit the Contract Certainty monthly.
