about the company

Our client is a well established firm in the Marine Tankers & Bunkering industry. They are looking for a Marine Manager to take on a newly created role.


about the job

As the Marine Manager (Bunker Tanker), you will be responsible to:

  • Lead a team of Marine Superintendents and Purchasers in the management, operational & HSEQ aspects of assigned bunker vessels
  • Ensure proper implementation of the Safety Management system and in compliance with ISM, ISPS, MLC, HSE, TMSA & industry requirement
  • Formulate budget and oversee the planning, management and control of vessels maintenance and repair, deficiencies, class and flag surveys


skills and experience required

To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to demonstrate or possess:

  • Currently possess a COC Class 1 or 2
  • Min 8 years of relevant experience as a Marine Manager for Bunker Barges
  • Prior experience in vessel inspections and DPA / Internal auditor / BRM certification
  • Prior experience in navigation, well versed with VIQ / Marpol / MLC / SOLAS / ISGOTT
  • Candidates who are currently at the Senior / Superintendent level who has the potential to be groomed to be a Manager can be considered for this position
