about the company

Our client is an expanding Commodity trading institution. With their strong brand and presence, they are seeking for a Market Analyst (Metallurgical Coal) to be part of their Marketing team.

about the job

  • Gathering, Collating, filtering and interpretation of market data and information specific for metallurgical coal and shipping
  • Assisting supervisor on specific market analysis that draws on other internal resources
  • Working in tandem with key stakeholders to prepare reports on pricing and competitor intelligence
  • Gathering information from sales and marketing team to capture the collective knowledge for market pricing, supplier database

about the manager/team

This is a stable team with experienced members. You will have direct working exposure with the Manager and strong developmental opportunities in the role.

skills and experience required

  • At least 5 years of experience working for a commodity (Metallurgical Coal) trading house within the Market research team
  • Understanding the key drivers of demand and supply in the metallurgical coal commodity market
  • Good communication skills and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced work environment
