about the company

Our client is a global leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals. As a result of continued successes both within Singapore and internationally, they are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to lead the business in its next phase of growth.


about the job

As the Mechanical Engineer (Chemical / Petrochemical / Polymer), you will be responsible to:

  • Lead the team i.e. Mechanical Superintendents in turnaround & shutdown maintenance
  • Oversee the Technicians and in-house contractors to execute maintenance work safely
  • Conduct regulatory inspections on equipment & provide maintenance, reliability input
  • Review performance indicators & address reliability issues affecting safety, quality, etc.


skills and experience required

To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to demonstrate or possess:

  • Min Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Min 4 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for polymer plants (Refinery / Chemicals / Petrochemicals)
  • Experience in rotating and static equipment such as Twin Screw Extruder, Palletizer System, Pellet Transfer & Packaging System
  • Experience in leading and supervision of contractors for on-site maintenance work
