Our client is a regional leader in engineering of polymer and rubber component solutions. They have strong presence in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia and are now in search of an Engineering Executive to join their team.
What you will be here for
- Be responsible for customers mold related enquiries and provide technical knowhow.
- Study the design feasibility and feedback to Sale/ Program/ customers.
- Provide Engineering support to the Sales Team on all RFQ enquiries.
- To verify customer drawing and convert customer files into in-house format (2D) drawings.
- Prepare, verify or study justification of DFM from mold maker.
- To provide support to mold makers, follow up on mold making tracking reports, and provide inquiry answers to the Sales Department.
- Submit Weekly Management Report and monthly KPI report.
- Work closing with the Chemist / material team to aid the molding capability
- Verify process justification of different product ranges and approve PCL for production.
- Develop and/or make jigs & fixtures when needed.
- Work closely with the QA & project team on all customer technical requirements.
- Tooling design and layout.
- Liaise with tool makers for fabrication and following up.
- Continue improvement for new and existing tooling.
What you will need
- Diploma in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Min. 3 years in Rubber experience or Molding Experience.
- Experience in the design of Rubber Compression /injection mold / plastic injection mold highly desirable
- Able to read & interpret product drawings
- Possess costing experience
- CAD design skills (NX- Unigraphics/Solidworks)
