This role is structured to support and maintain the Local and Wide area networks
The Network Operations Engineer, with the team will take ownership of the full lifecycle of Network Operations ensuring business needs are met and the Firm's information assets are secured and protected as per the ISMS standards. Some specific responsibilities and functions include the administration, analysis, design, installation, maintenance, operation, documentation, and planning of infrastructure and networks.
Key responsibilities
... - Responsibility for day-to-day operation of the firm’s network infrastructure. Maintaining network hardware in an operational condition as mandated by internal and external SLA's. Remediate incidents within defined Service Level Agreement guidelines.
- Monitor internal and external compliance within the Firm's information security policies and procedures as described in ISMS: identify non-compliant practices and rectify.
- Perform performance assessments and generally monitor network performance to established and improve internal and external service level agreements.
- Maintain the Firm's network-related information repositories
- Perform other relevant functions and tasks as assigned by the Network Operations Supervisor and Global Network Manager.
- Travel as necessary to support security initiatives, systems, incidents, and projects.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN technologies, methods, and practices.
- Knowledge of Firewalls and common network industry platforms.
- Ability to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems, and suggest solutions.
- Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to multitask, problem solve and liaise at various levels within and outside the organization.
- Ability to adapt, integrate, and modify existing programs or vendor-supplied package programs for use with existing information systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
- Cisco CCNA / CCNP preferred or applicable experience
