about the role

Working alongside and reporting to the APJ legal counsel you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the legal function of the region. This will include supporting the commercial team in contract negotiations, providing legal consulting, drafting legal documents and working in collaboration with the business units as well as outside parties in other areas, like employment, company and procurement matters, as and when needed. Your daily job scope will include :

Lead the legal aspect of commercial negotiation with internal and external customer/vendors.

Draft and review legal documents in different areas including license and services agreements.

Representing the legal team in cross departmental projects and engagements.

Promote compliance with legal requirements and standards in various contract negotiations.

Analyze and make appropriate risk assessments and provide advice to executives.

Provide some operational support to the worldwide legal team.

skills and requirement

5+ years PQE.

In house experience in a technology or other IP related company an advantage.

Previous experience in negotiating license agreements for complex intellectual property.

Previous experience in supporting a professional services organisation.

Ability to work flexibly, collaboratively and creatively and at senior levels.

Independent and organized. Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.

Bachelor of Laws (LLB) a minimum. Master or Laws (LLM) and Bar membership an advantage.
