I am representing a prominent entertainment company with a wide range of products that features some of the most famous characters that are known to every generation.
As part of their Regional expansion, they are looking for to expand their Southeast Asia presence by identifying and bringing onboard new partners
You would be tasked to oversee the end-to-end development of new business initiatives, from conceptualization to execution and work in close collaboration Coordinate with internal teams, including creative, legal, marketing, and finance, to ensure seamless project delivery.
About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, your responsibilities would includes
- Identify, approach, and establish relationships with potential partners, including entertainment companies, licensors, licensees, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions.
- Drive revenue growth by identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities.
- Develop and present compelling business proposals to potential clients and partners.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, potential partners, and new business opportunities within the entertainment and licensing sector.
- Analyze competitive landscape and consumer behavior to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and implement a robust business development strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Identify target markets and create detailed plans for market entry and expansion.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of new business initiatives, using key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities and outcomes.
- Foster strong relationships and ensure clear communication with Global HQ and licensees through regular update meetings and ongoing contact.
- Provide detailed meeting notes, track milestones, and set deadlines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Organize and document post-mortem evaluations of projects, analyzing creative, approval, and development processes to enhance future project delivery.
Skills and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development within the entertainment and licensing sector.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and securing new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of the entertainment industry and licensing processes.
