Our client is a global leading company in the Power Plant industry. With continued successes both within Singapore and internationally, they are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their dynamic team.

about the job

As a Procurement Manager (Power Plant/ Oil & Gas), your key tasks involve:

  • Overseeing, managing and organizing all procurement processes for your assigned projects
  • Formulating and implementing strategies for cost effectiveness in both sourcing and procurement
  • Handle all RFP/RFQ price negotiations, commercial evaluations, contract awards and administration to final delivery by ensuring company’s best interest is consistently achieved
  • Review and monitor market conditions, price and delivery trends for project materials and equipment
  • Foster good working relationship with international suppliers and conduct supplier performance evaluation when required

skills & experience required

To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to demonstrate or possess:

  • Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Engineering with at least 3 years of Procurement experience preferably in EPC projects, sub-contracting and tenders
  • Knowledge of financial, legal, contract law and corporate social responsibility issues
  • Good working knowledge with all MS Office Software especially Excel and Power Point
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for work purposes
