The company is a leading information and communications technology provider. They provide innovative solutions and infrastructure to promote safety, security and enhance the quality of life for individuals and the community. Currently, they are looking for a Project Accountant to join the team.

about the job

In your role, you will be responsible for GL functions including monthly balance sheet schedules reconciliations. You will handle the monthly analysis of profit & loss and balance sheet accounts. You will be involved in the month-end closing process to ensure timely submission of accurate financial reports. You will participate in projects costing reviews and monitoring. You will ensure that the projects’ revenue and cost recognition is in accordance to IFRS. You will participate in value-add projects to identify and drive continuous improvements in process efficiencies. You will handle GST submission and Corporate Tax reporting. You will assist the finance manager in maintaining a sound internal control system and timely updating Finance policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

skills and experience required

You should ideally possess an accounting or finance degree qualification from a reputable university with at least 6 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in the IT industry is preferred. Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Excel is required. You are able to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
