about the company

My client specializes in the semiconductor industries has attained continued successes both within Singapore and internationally. They have their assembly equipment systems designed and built both in Europe and Asia and look forward to having a Project Buyer (Product Innovation/Planning) to support the supply chain department.


about the job

As a Project Buyer (Product Innovation/Planning) your key tasks involve:

  • Order Management
    • Manage all order requests in close relation with local production planning
    • Work and negotiate on quotations, lead-time and costings
    • Close liaising with suppliers in minimizing delayed shipments
    • Control and verify invoices with price deviations referring to PO

  • Production Introduction
    • Support and coordinate with global strategic supply management in managing of demand request and processing operational purchasing in SEA

  • Develop and analyze on reports and statistics to support in sourcing strategy and planning
  • Assist in proactive improvement in the entire supply chain activities across all involved departments


skills and experience required

To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to demonstrate or possess:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain and Logistics or equivalent
  • Min 5 years’ experience in global sourcing for SEA’s market
  • Good experience in supplier qualification, auditing and corrective action process will be an advantage
  • Good exposure in SAP / R3 and good understanding of the critical production and assembly processes
