skills and experience required
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the banking technology sector.
- Strong background in managing technology projects on the application side, with specific knowledge in payments technology.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, with excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and proficiency with project management tools such as Jira and MS Project.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to analyse project data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar initiatives and working on regulatory projects.
- Relevant project management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are preferred.
- Experience in leading projects across multiple time zones and managing vendor relationships.
- Demonstrated abilities in prioritization and execution of multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
