about the company & job
My client is a global bank and they are currently looking for a Project Manager to join them on a 1 year contract. The focus will be on a KYC Project. As the Project Manager, your responsibilities include:

  • working on projects impacting Singapore set-up in such as transformation initiatives,
  • liaise with Paris, London, NY and International Network for project initiatives involving those sites,
  • putting into action project management methodology for various projects or for phases of IT project upgrades in which Singapore is involved (such as UAT or Change management or post-implementation actions),
  • optimise the Singapore Reporting platform
  • proposing the lead initiatives aiming at a better efficiency (Lean Sig-Sigma, Lean Management, KYC Process optimisation, etc.) or security in the set-up
  • In coordination with the Head of Department:
    • Contribute to Control Management process and Staff/Sourcing/on-off boarding process in relation with the relevant contact points within Head-Office and ISAP
    • Prepare and organise the Internal/External communication (business meeting, VIP visits, etc.)
  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

You will also be required to:

  • provide team leadership
    • Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort
    • Help develop team members
    • Ensure that the team members are equipped and trained effectively to participate in the team
  • Focus the team on the tasks at hand or the internal and external customer requirements
    • Coordinate with internal and external customers as necessary
    • Initiate sub-groups or sub-teams as appropriate to resolve issues and perform tasks in parallel
  • Coordinate team logistics
    • Ensure deliverables are prepared in line with the requirements
    • Help keep the team focused and on track
    • Work with team Leaders, Domain heads and Head of Captive to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements
    • Establish meeting times, places and agendas
  • Communicate team status, task accomplishment, and direction
    • Analyse status reporting of team activities against the program plan or schedule
    • Keep the Head of Department informed of task accomplishment, issues and status
    • Serve as a focal point to communicate and resolve interface and integration issues with other teams
    • Escalate issues which cannot be resolved within the team
    • Provide guidance to the team based on management direction


skills and experience required
Your requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant project management experience
  • Very good knowledge of Middle-Office and Back-office processes and AML/KYC business/process
  • Confident in communicating with people at all levels
  • Strong perseverance and diligence towards attaining goals and effective time management
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skill
  • Pro-efficient with PC tools and applications, e.g. MS Visio, PowerPoint, Word & Excel
