About the job

Reporting directly to the Head of Public Relations & Communications - you will get to manage the Public Relations across the firm’s Asia Pacific region, build positive brand equity and shape public opinion about the firm and its future strategy, including electrification, connectivity and digitalisation.

  • Together with the Head of Public & Relations Communications, develop an overall communications strategy and define the annual priorities in support of brand and business, while taking into consideration emerging trends inside and outside the automotive industry.
  • Support the in-market Public Relations colleagues in their local activities.
  • Develop a collaborative working relationship with the importer organisations as well as key stakeholders across departments and at headquarters.
  • Identify, create and deliver stories for relevant coverage across the region, including but not limited to press releases, campaigns, influencer activities, interviews and speaking opportunities.
  • Manage regional social media platforms and calendars and ensure message consistency as well as compliance with brand standards across contents and channels.
  • Organise and execute international media events including the preparation of press materials, interviews and general logistics for a measurable and tangible outcome.
  • Steer external agency partners to ensure the best possible delivery of their scope and coordinate the monitoring of relevant metrics against KPIs.
  • Build and enhance media relationships, including fostering key media contacts for the benefit of the brand and business. Think innovatively based on the evolving media landscape.

skills & experience required

  • Highly Entrepreneurial driven role Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, management studies or relevant other degree
  • University degree in journalism, communications, marketing or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience in Public Relations and/or communications, preferably in the automotive / B2C sector
  • Strong communication and exceptional writing skills. Fluency in English, additional language a plus.
  • A deep knowledge of traditional, digital and social media including a strong affinity to data and analytics.
  • A self-motivated and proactive individual with strong initiative and well established project management skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and across several markets with a knowledge of the regional media landscape.
