about the job
In this role, you are responsible to the following:
- Raise and create purchase requisitions for procurement of goods/ services, as required under the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or Navision.
- Create Purchase Order (POs), track PO closure and review open POs.
- Sourcing and managing suppliers’ data base, evaluations, prequalification.
- Support localised sourcing process by conducting vendor due diligence checks and providing information to vendor.
- Review requested items for requisition and liaise with department engineers/ supervisors to determine the suitability of the materials as well as identify and/ or track overdue material requests.
- Commercial evaluation of the quotations based on technical aspect and prepares bid tabulations.
- Communicate and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Support PO until invoicing process by coordinating with various business departments to monitor POs.
- Maintaining records of goods received and ordered.
- To follow up any outstanding order and supplier delivery status.
- Any other task assigned by management.
skills & experience required

- At least 5 years’ relevant working experience in Procurement / Manufacturing industry.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Responsible and reliable.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
