My client is a leading engineering company of up to 200 employees specialising in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E). They mainly provide supply and installation services to commercial, industrial, and institutions and infrastructure for the Singapore and Malaysia construction industry for almost 20 years. They are currently looking for an Electrical QS based in east Singapore.

... - Prepare tender documents, costing, tender evaluation, and contract administration
- Prepare quotations to clients, ensure completeness and timely submission of tender bid
- Responsible for controlling costs, budget management, evaluation of price comparison, and costing summary
- Prepare variation orders (VO), monthly reports for progress payment claims, and Purchase orders matching the Delivery Order
- Review and negotiate with the project manager's suggested subcontractors if applicable.
- Identify potential claims based on the contract deviation and handle problems such as time extensions, terms, and conditions, loss and expense claims, etc.
- Settle main and sub contractor's final accounts
- Work and establish relationships with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers, and contractors
- Ad-hoc duties
skills & experience required
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in Electrical QS (Tender of Project) in the Construction Industry
- Knowledge of PSSCOC, SIA, and REDAS Form of Contract Administration is a plus
- Knowledge of SOP Act Administration is a plus
- Familiar with tendering, project cost control, and contracts administration in M&E works is a plus
- 5 days work week
- Comfortable working in Ubi area
