about the job
As the receptionist, you will be responsible to create and uphold a quality level of experience extended to all internal stakeholders and external visiting clients. You will be the first point of contact for visitors at the main reception area and you will help to register and manage guest lists in the system. The maintenance and setting up of conference rooms for meetings, as well as supporting the Office manager with the on-boarding of new hires, will fall under your care. You will also be expected to take care of office operations and employee welfare, from ordering of pantry and office supplies, to being the main liaison point for external vendors/building management. In addition to reception duties, you will need to assist with internal activities and events planning and execution, and support the team with travel arrangements, calendar management and preparation of expense reports.
about the manager/team
You will report directly to the Office Manager and will work closely with the entire team to ensure smooth office operations.
skills and experience required
You should be tertiary educated and come with experience as a Receptionist in a corporate office, preferably with prior knowledge in providing basic secretarial support. You will need to be proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint on a daily basis and have excellent organisational skills to complete your tasks in a timely manner. Being able to work independently and having strong communication and interpersonal skills will contribute to your success in this role. You will need to be self-motivated, resourceful, service-oriented and have great problem solving skills to excel in this position.
