about the job

  • Participate in the building, implementation and regular adjustment of business plan for sugar reduction portfolio
  • Build the regional Strategic Marketing Plan (SMP), articulate segment priorities and relentlessly drive the implementation of the strategy across APAC
  • Develop business or investment proposals for new markets, projects and categories to drive segment growth
  • Drive and be responsible for the sales of sugar reduction products in designated countries in APAC to deliver the financial targets
  • Main segments are beverage, confectionery, chocolate, baking, nutrition and pharmaceutical
  • Champion as the key technical sales support in presentation
  • Establish the proper Go to Market strategy. This includes reviewing & working with appointed agency/distributorship, collaboration with product manager, operations, and technical teams
  • Analyze the market and its opportunities and develop the strategy to capture the growth. This encompasses the collaboration with sales, marketing, and technical team
  • Monitor the activities of competitors and keeping abreast of regulatory issues which encompass investing activities and customs tariffs, labeling and food safety legislation
  • Participate in strategic projects, which support the growth
  • Accountable for APAC sales targets. Set and regularly review/adjust the mid and long-term growth ambitions for the segment.

Reporting to the VP Market Development, you will be a single contributor working closely with the sales, marketing, compliance, regulatory and quality assurance teams, to endure that the overall company objectives are met.

skills/experience required

  • Possess a Bachelor of Business Administration or Science food science or other related education background with more than 10 years’ commercial experience working in the Flavors and/or Specialty Food Ingredients industries
  • Key skills in project and portfolio management will be necessary in a highly matrix environment
  • Strong business acumen will be desirable to translate opportunity to business results
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills will be necessary and experience handling big accounts will be desirable
