about the company

My client is the largest chemical producer worldwide and hundreds over production sites all over the world. They are looking for a Regional Chemical Planner (PEOL & Raw Material) to join their Supply Chain team to be the key representative for APAC.

about the job

As a Regional Chemical Planner (PEOL & Raw Material), your key tasks involve:

  • Ensure efficient operation planning and inventory management for all production sites, plants and Toller in APAC supporting BU demands
  • Consolidate, review and submit the short & mid-term raw materials forecast to suppliers for Production sites on monthly basis.
  • Manage exceptional situations including supply shortage. Plan and work closely with local SCM/ Product Manager/ Segment Manger/ Commercial Manager for allocation based on priority, transferring of materials from other plants or purchasing from alternative suppliers.
  • Monthly review shipment schedule with supply source export team to meet customer requirement.
  • Attend to planners, local SCM, sales enquiry on material availability and SC matters.
  • Manage demand and supply network planning process and related value chain scope according to S &OP process and calendar.
  • Review S &OP performance and drive improvement with all stakeholders.
  • Lead and chair the monthly Supply Review Meeting for PEOL and Pre-S&OP meeting of Propylene Oxide and actively contribute in monthly meeting. Prepare minutes meeting, action items and Pre-S &OP meeting slides.
  • Oversee demand and supply on the regional level. Monitor and balance the following area according to defined KPIs: sales forecast, inventory target, customer service level, planning quality, schedule adherence, production promises etc.
  • Initiate and lead stock optimization actions including aging stock management, redeployment, sell-off, write-off for Asia Pacific plants & warehouses.
  • Implement the relocation of raw material based on the agreed process within Asia Pacific plant in case of shortage or excessive to optimize the inventory level and production.

skills & experience required

To be successful in this position, you must have the ability to demonstrate or possess:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration / Logistics & Supply Chain Management
  • Min 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Logistics in Liquid Chemical Industry
  • Experience in SAP (MM & SD, Procurement Module), International Trading will be highly desirable
  • Good knowledge in liquid chemical planning, parcel tanker chartering, pipeline management, tank truck / ISO tank operation
