Our client is a renowned UK chemical company with presence globally. They are expanding their presence in APAC and are looking at growing their team in Asia.

about the job

You will be managing the HR functions for the SG business as well as the rest of the representative offices within APAC on the day to day BAU. Partnering both the manufacturing plant and the regional corporate office, you will be involved in business corporate initiatives, employee relations, identifying training needs, succession planning and recruitment strategies amongst other responsibilities. You will also work closely with stakeholders and HR teams in the region to deliver seamless HR services and advices for the implementation and interpretation of HR policies/programs while ensuring smooth coordination of information flow and marketing of HR strategies. This highly visible role will also provide strategic support to the business and set HR directions in line with business objectives.

skills and experience required

You will be degree qualified in HRM or related field of studies and demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in similar capacity. Experiences within the chemical and/or oil & gas industry will placed you a league above the rest. You will be someone with excellent people skills when it comes to employees’ related matters and being adaptable to changes. You will also be someone who is versatile in handling people of all cultural levels and demographic backgrounds. Apart from the mentioned, you must be someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, ever-changing and fast pace environment with the desire to grow together with the organization. Regional experience in APAC with Japan, India and/or Korea market knowledge will be an added advantage.

Reporting to the Regional HR Lead, you will work alongside the corporate regional team as well as the manufacturing plant in supporting the SG team.
