Our client is a renowned European life science company listed in the stock exchange. They are expanding their presence in APAC and are looking at growing their team in Asia. They are a reputable company established for more than 30 years with a reputation of being one of the top 10 medical devices company in their speciality within the life science vertical.

about the job

You will be managing the HR functions for the SG business as well as the rest of the representative offices within APAC on the day to day BAU. As the Regional HRBP for the SG corporate office, you will be involved in business corporate initiatives, employee relations, identifying training needs, succession planning and recruitment strategies amongst other responsibilities. You will also work closely with your stakeholders around the region to deliver seamless HR services and advices for the implementation and interpretation of HR policies/programs while ensuring smooth coordination of information flow and marketing of HR strategies. This highly visible role will also provide strategic support to the business and set HR directions in line with business objectives in the emerging markets. Apart from the mentioned, you will also be someone who is a hands-on HR generalist to helmed this role as a single contributor for SG and the other region:

  • Handle the full spectrum of Human Resources and Administrative functions including recruitment, on/off boarding, compensation & benefits administration, payroll & taxation, visa application, employee relations and day-to-day HR operations for covered locations
  • Manage annual salary review exercise, performance management process, salary benchmarking and other HR exercise
  • Develop and review HR policies and procedures and design the best practice to comply with regulations
  • Be responsible for staff costs budget and forecast for covered scope

skills and experience required

You will be degree qualified in HRM or related field of studies and demonstrate at least 5 years of experience in similar capacity. Regional experiences within the similar or related industry will placed you a league above the rest. You will be someone with excellent people skills when it comes to employees’ related matters and being adaptable to changes. You will also be someone who is versatile in handling people of all cultural levels and demographic backgrounds. Apart from the mentioned, you will also be someone who enjoys working in a collaborative and cohesive environment with the desire to grow together with the organization.
