about the company
A leading specialty chemical company with about 7000 employees worldwide, is looking to expand their reach in the region by adding a Techanical Sales Account Manager to their sales team in Asia.

about the job
You will be expected to grow the profitability of the businesses in the assigned territory. Providing winning technical & commercial proposals coupled with services to gain and retain business to meet the sales targets.

A large part of the job will require you to build relationships of trust based on credibility and ability to resolve site problems, achieved by responding to problems encountered by the customers and support the customer to solve them.

about the manager/team
This is a single contributor role and will require you travel extensively, visiting client sites. This role reports to the Regional Director but you will work closely with other internal departments such as production, shipping and quality assurance.

skills and experience required

You will need to have a minimum of an engineering degree with at least 5 years of experience working in catalyst R&D, refinery operations or technical support, catalysts manufacturing or refinery unit design.

Good technical and commercial knowledge in refinery operation units – FCC. You should be able to apply a consultative approach to value selling, being able to listen well, being able to respond clearly and directly to challenges/questions, strong presentation skills & understands how to uncover refinery needs.
