You are to lead at forefront to formulate and maintain regulatory frameworks, ensuring banking activities comply with local regulations and best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Service the business on all regulatory matters to ensure accordance to policies and procedures
- Assist in identifying, interpretation and advising on new or updated regulatory changes, and keep management abreast of any material impact
- Keep up to date with regulatory changes and adapt compliance manuals and policies accordingly
- Act as a control assurance regarding MAS Technology Risk Management Guidelines (TRMG), partnering with technology stakeholders in identifying gaps and managing audits
- Address issues raised by auditors, the authorities and regulators
- Assist in coordinating compliance training and raising awareness of compliance within the organisation to facilitate cooperation amongst key stakeholder
skills and experience required
- Degree in Accountancy, Banking, Business or Law, or relevant professional qualification in financial services or audit
- Minimum 7 years of relevant compliance experience in a Financial Institution
- Well versed in MAS notices such as Banking Act, Securities Futures Act (SFA) and Financial Advisory Act (FAA)
- Strong stakeholder engagement to deal with internal and external stakeholders
